If they weren't as great as they were, our experience would have definitely been affected in a negative way. They work very long hours and have a tough crowd to please at times. The sports and entertainment team worked so hard to make sure guests felt welcomed, included, and were having a good time. The drinks were great, but nothing too special about drinking out of quickly sanitized plastic glasses with no straws. The food was good but didn't blow us away. ***The sports and entertainment team was the biggest reason why this is a 5 star review and not a 3 star. The resort was smaller than we expected, but we ended up liking it since it allowed us to make some friendships throughout our stay. It definitely showed that these people cared about making sure hospitality and guests were the priority. Each made sure that we were greeted and cared for. All were definitely there to serve our every need. The servers were incredible! The whole time we were there I don't think I ever had a negative thought about any of the service staff. Honeymoon was great! We were super glad to have the honeymoon package included, because it is overpriced in our opinion. We just spent our honeymoon there and it was our first all-inclusive experience and first time at a Secret's resort. Did not notice any sewer smell anywhere when I was there as other reviewers advised. If you are an avid snorkeler this tour will annoy you. Spot 1 see starfish in 3 feet of water, spot 2 somewhat interesting where you'll see fish, spot 3 the ocean floor drops off so you just see darkness. snorkel tour- Too many people and not worth it. The will try to nab you from check in all the way to the end. Unlimited Vacations- sit down with them for the 1.5 hours and get the $150. spa- the prices were too high even with the coupons they give you so did not do it. Yoga/gym it's on the sunscape side so skip it. Its right there next to the shoreline in waist deep water. Little lobsters, a puffer fish, and a ton of other colorful fish. Snorkeling was awesome in front of the preferred beach area. Bring your water shoes as it is rocky when you first walk in. Yes there are beach chair hogs putting their towels on chairs at 6 am.The staff will locate another chair and bring it over for you. Just avoid the house specials like the blue hawaii.water downed needed a shot of rum. Bar- I ordered from the preferred area.can't mess up a grey goose and soda. ![]() Breakfast- I preferred the buffet on the sunscape side. The mexican restaurant on the sunscape side was ok. Mexican fiesta night was good (bbq on the beach). I ate the ceviche everyday with a salad and a side of chips and guacamole. During the day there were some black gnats that would linger on the beach. Really good amenities like full size shampoo, conditioner, soap, and lotion of things you'd actually use that smell good and do not dry your hair out. Only slept there, did not hangout in the room. I booked the deal of the day and ended up in a Preferred 1 bedroom ground level across from the preferred pool. The atmosphere was relaxing.if you want to party this not the place. I decided to come here because it was adults only and I did not want to be near the bachelor/bachelorette parties. Just avoid the house specials like the blue hawaii.water downed needed a shot of rum.īeach- all stars really are for this.
